WEBP

01 / Fast steps

  1. Drop or paste your WebP images.
  2. The conversion starts automatically.
  3. Download the PDF files.

02 / Best for

  • Turn WebP screenshots and web exports into a document you can attach to an email.
  • Send an image to a portal or a form that only accepts PDF.
  • Archive images downloaded from the web in a format that opens everywhere.

03 / Why here

  • Each image becomes a full PDF page at its original pixel dimensions, with no scaling and no margins added.
  • Runs entirely in your browser, so images never leave your device.
  • Transparent WebP images are embedded losslessly so the transparency survives; opaque ones use JPEG compression to keep the PDF small.

04 / Keep in mind

  • PDF cannot store WebP natively, so the image is always re-encoded on the way in.
  • Each WebP becomes its own PDF; use Merge PDF afterwards to combine them into one document.
  • Animated WebP files produce a single page from the first frame.

faq

Questions, answered.

01Why can a PDF not contain a WebP image directly?

The PDF format only defines a fixed set of image filters, and the ones in practical use are DCTDecode for JPEG, FlateDecode for lossless bitmaps, and JPXDecode for JPEG 2000. WebP was standardised long after those and was never added, so any tool that puts a WebP into a PDF has to re-encode it first. This one picks the encoder per image: lossless when the WebP has transparency, JPEG when it does not.

02Can I combine many WebP images into one PDF?

Convert them here, where each becomes a single-page PDF, then drop the results on Merge PDF to combine them in the order you want.

03Is the image quality preserved?

Transparent images are embedded losslessly, so they are pixel-identical. Opaque images are encoded as high-quality JPEG, which is visually indistinguishable at normal viewing sizes and keeps the PDF small enough to email.

04Is WebP to PDF free to use?

Yes, completely free, with no sign-up and no usage limits. It runs entirely in your browser, so your data never leaves your device.
