Toolest does not currently set any cookies for tracking, advertising, analytics or profiling.
The site uses your browser’s local storage (not a cookie, but a similar technology) to remember a single preference: whether you last chose light or dark mode. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Because this storage is strictly necessary for the site to work as you expect, it does not require your consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
Loading a page needs nothing from anyone else: every file, web fonts included, is served from this domain. Nothing is embedded from an external service, which is also why no third party could set a cookie here even if it wanted to.
The tools that recognise text inside images are the one exception: running one downloads its recognition engine from a public code distribution network. That download sets no cookie either, and the file you are working on stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
Should Toolest introduce advertising, analytics or any other non-essential cookie in the future, this page will be updated first, and a consent banner will let you accept or reject those cookies before they are ever set.
You can remove the stored preference at any time by clearing your browser’s site data or cache for this site.
